Liora Venn, a memory technician at the Mnemosyne Institute, has spent her life erasing the thoughts and feelings that the system deems too dangerous. When she is assigned to permanently erase Kael Orison — an architect with an unmappable mind that EIDOLON cannot predict or control — she discovers something the system insists is impossible: his memories contain her. A version of her that loved him, fought beside him, and chose to forget him in order to save his life. As the erasure order counts down and fragments of a stolen past begin to surface, Liora must decide whether to trust a love she cannot remember — or surrender it forever to a world that was never designed to let either of them choose. A slow-burn futuristic romance about cognitive freedom, the cost of a perfect world, and the one truth no algorithm can erase: that a mind which knows how to question will always find its way back to what is real.
