Han Seo-yeon works as an R&D employee at Daejin Foods, armed with a golden palate honed in her family's small restaurant — and a secret she cannot share: her mother is hospitalized, waiting for a surgery she cannot afford. When her best friend begs her to stand in at a blind date, Seo-yeon only wants the evening to collapse as quickly as possible. But the man across the table — cold, impossibly arrogant — turns out to be Cha Do-yoon, the newly appointed CEO of her own company. And he has a proposal: she plays his girlfriend to deflect his grandfather's relentless marriage pressure, in exchange for a sum that could save her mother's life. Now Seo-yeon must live two lives — the polished girlfriend of a chaebol heir in front of his family, and the invisible junior employee inside the very company he runs. How long before everything unravels? And when it does, which will fall first — the contract, or their hearts?
