In the fog-wrapped mountain town of Alderheath, Corin Albrecht has spent eighteen months learning to live in seven-day increments. Since a mining accident left him with Adaptive Neuroplastic Cycling Syndrome, his nervous system rewires itself every 168 hours around a different vanishing craft -- bookbinding one week, metalwork the next, glasswork after that. Each cycle brings extraordinary ability. Each transition takes it away. And through all of it, Corin has quietly built his life around a single belief: that his worth is measured entirely by what his hands can do.

When Mira Solenne, an independent architectural historian, arrives in Alderheath to document the town's seven lost trade guilds, she notices the contradictions in her reluctant collaborator almost immediately -- a man who can restore a three-hundred-year-old book one week and fumble a simple stitch the next. What begins as professional curiosity slowly becomes something she cannot categorize, as the mystery of Alderheath's past and the mystery of Corin himself begin to point toward the same answer.

But Mira carries her own wound. Raised by a father who believed knowledge mattered more than the people who found it, she has spent years confusing the desire to understand someone with the right to decide for them -- a pattern she does not recognize until it is already costing her the one thing she did not expect to find in this grey, quiet town.

The Shape of Seven Days is a slow-burn romance about two people who fall in love not through grand gestures but through attention -- through the small, deliberate act of choosing to see a person rather than what they are capable of. It asks what remains of a man when the extraordinary is stripped away, and whether that is enough to build a life on.

The answer, it turns out, is everything.
