Yoon Ha-eun and Kang Do-hyun grew up as next-door neighbors in the coastal town of Haejin, bound together by a fire that took Do-hyun's mother and left them both with memories neither could fully recall. A decade later, they arrive at Yeonhui University in Seoul — Ha-eun to study medicine, Do-hyun to study fire and disaster management — and find themselves living in adjacent apartments once again.
What they call love has always felt inevitable. But when a cross-disciplinary project brings structural engineering student Nam Gyu-won into their orbit, buried blueprints and tampered records begin to surface — and the truth behind the Myeonghwa House fire starts to unravel. Every revelation pulls Ha-eun and Do-hyun closer to a question they have spent years avoiding: were they ever truly each other's choice, or simply each other's only way to survive?
M.O.A (Moment of Alwaysness) is a story about first love, inherited trauma, and the courage it takes to release a promise that once saved your life. It follows three people learning that being needed is not the same as being loved — and that some moments feel like forever not because they last, but because they were complete.
