Year 2226. The demon world has invaded, and even D-rank demons are enough to wipe out entire city blocks. Lam Uyen is a lazy apartment complex guard registered as a useless F-rank — hiding an SSS-rank Demon Management System that lets him capture, contract, and command demons from SSS down to F. His only rule: never show his hand. Then he finds a cocoon of dark energy in the rubble, and inside it — a girl with no memories and no name. He calls her Mien. She is the first demon his System ever captures. She is also, though neither of them knows it yet, the SS-rank Great Demon Nguyet Thuc, the Moon-Devourer, who sealed herself into a new body to survive the great war. Their life-and-death contract binds them before either chooses it. When the elite demon-hunting squad Traffic borrows his demons to clear a nest — then turns around and seals Mien as a living weapon — Lam Uyen makes a choice. Not to hide. Not to protect himself. To tear through every wall they have built, fight every force they have mobilized, and take her back. The world will call him a monster. He already knows. He decided that the moment he heard her scream through the contract bond.
